Leadership | Involvement | Empowerment “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” - John Quincy Adams I recently did a “Mindset Determines Success: Discover Your Purpose” workshop at Rutgers University for Access Week. Access Week is a designed to support and cater to first-generation, low-income students and to increase the academic, social, and professional development. Today, less than 15% of low-income college students complete a four-year college degree in good academic standing. For those students that make it out of college, over 50% of them are reported to not being “workforce ready”. As a first-generation college student and a Rutgers Alum myself, I did not become one of these statistics. Therefore giving back to these students and delivering this keynote workshop is a highlight to remember. During this workshop, we discussed the following topics: 1. The Importance of Leadership & Community Involvement 2. Aligning your 'Purpose' and 'Passion' with your core values 3. The Foundations of how 'Mindset Determines Success' Looking forward to continuing the work of inspiring the next generation of diverse talent!
